Experiment #467: Can of Blue Hair Dye
(Rated G) Microwaving an aerosol can is always a gamble, I never know if the item I'm microwaving is going to be awesome like the Static Guard or the Cheese Whiz, or if it's going to be lame like the can of icing or the Axe Body Spray, but this can of blue hair dye is one of the best I've ever done, if not the best. It made a ton of fire and actually blew the door open (which I did NOT expect, and thus tipping the camera over in dramatic fashion). Everyone knows that putting metal in the microwave causes sparks, but when you have an aerosol can under pressure with lots of flammable propellants, you have a recipe for disaster, which is exactly what I want. I got this can a couple years ago with the intent of doing it as a special tribute to someone, but that person is no longer on YouTube, so I don't think I'll be giving them a shout-out any time soon. It was a woman with blue hair who supported my microwave channel in its earliest days. She doesn't look like the girl on the can but the idea was still there. Regardless, I needed a good aerosol can to restore my faith in the microwaved exploding aerosol can result I'd seen so little of recently. Hopefully this means more aerosol can explosions in the future. Microwave Me is currently in its 17th season of production and is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in crystal clear 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave stars as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1200-watt Emerson microwave he named Sammie after beautiful and talented Norwegian singer and vlogger Sandra Meland.
