Episode 40: Lock Plate (for a front door)
(Rated G) The lock plate on my front door is old and worn down, so I'm going to replace it and I decided to turn the first part of it into a "Drill This" episode. This show occasionally gets mistaken for a DIY or home repair type of series, which is understandable given some of the things I've drilled through, but this time I"m actually showing you how to do something useful and where to drill through, how to drill through it, and so on. As far as how it resisted the drill bit, it put up a little bit of a fight, but not as much as some of the other stuff I've drilled through like a hard drive or a speaker. Since I'm doing a sort of DIY thing here, I actually used the right drill bit for once because I want people to be able to watch this video and be able to replicate what I did to replace their own lock plate, showing that yes even my drilling show can be educational when it wants to be.
