Experiment #482: Iron Pyrite, Obsidian, Feldspar, Fluorite, Calciate, Quartz, Limestone, Marble, Shale
(Rated PG) I guess because I'm micorwaving fool's gold, it's sort of an unofficial St. Patrick's Day episode, but overall it was more just me microwaving a bunch of rocks and minerals that my brother got for me to microwave. What surprised me is that a lot of them blew up and went off like fireworks. This would have been even better if I would have filmed inside the garage, but I thought the tarp would block out enough sunlight to minimize visibility problems. However that was NOT the case as you can see here. That aside, I hope you like this oddball Pi Day upload (that kind of also doubles as a bit of a Saint Patrick's Day themed episode), since it'll be the last one for awhile. I'm going to wait until spring to do my next episode so that I'm not constrained by trying to get done before a big snowstorm hits like I did here. Filming at night has its own set of drawbacks, such as poor lighting. Microwave Me is currently in its 18th season of production and has now been running on YouTube for over four years, dating back to the old school microwave show period, while being filmed in crystal clear 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave stars as the host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1985 Montgomery Ward microwave.
