Experiment # 468a: Can of Salonpas (part 1)
(Rated G) I was planning on microwaving a can of Salonpas, which is a metal aerosol can. Salonpas is this weird Japanese pain relief spray that smells like wintergreen. The can is about the same size as the hair dye can and contains highly flammable propellants, and I expected lots of fire. Instead, the light bulbs I used to light up the experiment caught fire and created the most intense onslaught of plasma that I'd ever seen. It was starting to burn a hole through the top of the microwave, which ended up shutting off (but still works) and so I'll have to wait awhile to finish the can of Salonpas. It was ball lightning in a microwave, the plasma stayed floating in that one spot for a minute and a half before the microwave shut down. I never thought light bulbs could do this, but this is why I always tell people if they're going to microwave tin foil or a light bulb, only do it for a minute at most if it's their home microwave, because this just happened. Microwave Me is currently in its 17th season of production and is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in crystal clear 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave stars as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1200-watt Emerson microwave he named Sammie after beautiful and talented Norwegian singer and vlogger Sandra Meland.
