Experiment #446: Baseball
(Rated G) To my knowledge, nobody has ever tried microwaving a baseball before, and I have no idea why. It turned out to be one of the coolest things I've ever microwaved. People have done sports equipment before such as a football in the microwave, a helmet, a golf ball, or even ping pong balls, but nobody ever thought to put a baseball in the microwave. I guess nobody expected these kinds of crazy results. But hey, at least I actually microwave a baseball. It may have finished off the Amelia microwave, though. She turned back on afterwards, but that doesn't mean she still works. On a side note, I created a nine hour baseball song four years ago called "Baseball - America's Pastime".

I got the idea to microwave a baseball from a dream I had where it turned out pretty cool, and in actuality it was even cooler than I'd imagined it would. The camera doesn't really do justice to how big of a flare-up resulted when the baseball suddenly exploded. It was also resistant to being put out. After sitting and cooling for over 10 minutes, there were still fiery embers. This was one of the biggest flare-ups I've ever had that blew the door open, even bigger than the scarecrow I did last fall. This is definitely worth the watch. Microwave Me, now in its 16th season is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1000-watt Hamilton Beach microwave named Amelia.
