(Rated PG) Another season of Microwave Me has come to an end, and as I slowly approach 500 microwave experiments, it's become apparent that I am at serious risk of running out of ideas. So I'm not sure if any of you are aware of this but I plan on semi-retiring the show after my 500th episode. Not quitting entirely, just going to make one year equal one season and only do one episode every month. So that means you still get to experience a new Microwave Me episode (which is what most of you subscribed for) at a rate where you won't drift away for good, but at the same time I'll be able to do more vlogging and reviews. This season has been quite the interesting one, I had a lot of fun despite doing no exceptional experiments, or at least none with exceptional results. The closest to that would be the calculator that blasted the door open when the battery exploded. The baseball I guess could also be seen as that due to how forcefully it exploded.
Q: You FINALLY did the shitting Elmo doll! What took so long?
A: I needed a big enough microwave and kept putting off doing the experiment because I knew it might finish off the big microwave I did it in. After the thermite plan fell through, I decided to do Elmo.
Q: Why so many "purist" episodes? And why the short intro?
A: Two reasons. One, viewers kept asking me to "shut up and skip to the microwaving", which I took as more purist episodes. And now I'm getting complaints that there are too many. Also, I heard that people hate long intros, so I keep it as short as I can. Unless people speak up I have no idea if the feedback I get is of a vocal minority so that's all I have to go on. People just love to complain.
Q: Who is this "Sammie" girl that you keep promoting?
A: She's the most amazing, beautiful, wonderful, intelligent, kind, inspirational, cool, funny, strong-willed, and talented woman on the entire site. Her content and Sammie herself have helped me during what has been some very tough times. She's also a great singer and all around fantastic musician. This website could use more people like her. Q: But Sammie's a feminist?
A: You say that like it's a bad thing. I happen to agree with Sammie on pretty much everything, but even if I didn't, why would that be an issue? I get that some of you don't like feminism, but my channel is NOT a platform for arguing politics, there are plenty of other places you can do so. Sammie has done a lot of good for me and for a lot of other people, if you can't see that, it's your loss. I mean, she got me to change my mind about Shane Dawson! Me! A guy who has been watching the Archfiend since 2010. Let that sink in.
Q: Okay, so if Sammie is your favorite YouTuber, who was your old favorite YouTuber?
A: Jogwheel and dOvetastic, currently tied for second places at this point. I've known and been friends with these guys for YEARS, and I love and will always love their content and always value their friendship, but none of them have even come CLOSE to having the kind of positive influence on my life that Sammie has.
Q: Do you and Sammie influence each other's content?
A: As of right now, no, in the future, maybe. We're two different types of channels but we both appreciate what each other brings to the table. However, I will be naming a microwave after her.
Q: I've seen you redo experiments before, any others planned?
A: I might do an HD remake of the crayons where I'm microwaving 64 crayons until they all melt or catch fire.
Q: What's your favorite Sammie video?
A: It's so hard to choose because each one is magnificent in its own way. It's not really a fair question because I can't choose.
Q: Plans for season 17?
A: I used to answer this but I don't like to anymore because most of the plans fall through. I'd love to at some point do a car battery, an airbag, a propane tank, some thermite, but I don't know how many of those I can do. Besides, I don't really know what else I can do.
Q: Will you ever talk about social issues or politics?
A: No. My channel is here for entertainment, I try to avoid politics on my channel as much as possible but I admire those who can and often enjoy their content when done well.
Q: Will you continue to do light bulbs and produce items?
A: Yes, but with much less frequency. I'm running out of light bulbs to do and very few produce items have provided me good results.
