Experiment #425: Traditional Black Light Bulb
(Rated G) I know what you're thinking, not another microwaving a light bulb video! But this one is really cool! The bulb did a weird type of strobe effect after the initial lighting up and creating some internal plasma. This is a weird type of light bulb that you rarely see much of anymore but there was a time when the traditional black light was the most common of all, these were what was used even before the tubular fluorescent bulbs were a thing. What I think is interesting is that none of the microwave shows have done one of this kind of black light before. Jon did a fluorescent light, BLH did fluorescent lights, Kenny did a few kinds of black lights and a kind of bulb in 1991 that may have been this but I'm not sure, and as far as I know, I'm the first to do this. For those wondering, YES the microwaving a microwave episode is coming up soon, but in the mean time I wanted to give you a little something to hold you over.
