Experiment #444: Clothes Iron
(Rated PG) Microwaving an iron has been something I'd wanted to attempt ever sine I saw the "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?" crew try to microwave an iron. After eight minutes of microwaving, their steam iron just melted a little. No fire, just the back part and bottom melted off. So when I microwaved an iron, I got a surprise. The damn thing actually caught fire! Not only did it catch fire, but it lit up like a Christmas tree beforehand and during the time when it was microwaved. It's pretty rare that an electronic without any kind of battery or being powered lights up like that. Be sure to check out and compare what happened when this was attempted before.

One thing we learned from this is that it's not good to microwave it before ironing your clothes. Or you can try putting clothing in the microwave. Unfortunately, I bet some bozo is going to think this is showing some kind of stupid "life hack" and complain when it's not anything of the sort. Honestly if you're stupid enough to microwave an iron, you shouldn't be using the internet. Anyways, we also saw that Amelia is a fiery redhead when she wasted no time setting the iron on fire. Nothing was edited out or sped up. What you're seeing is all read time. For those who don't know, Amelia the microwave is named after Amelia Eisenhauser, who placed in the Top 24 of this season of American Idol but was cut. Sorry about the glare off the door, it was the first ice free day I've had in a long time so I wanted to give you a brand new microwave episode. It's not easy living in a continental climate and doing microwave episodes, especially during winter, which here runs from December through March. Microwave Me, now in its 16th season is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1000-watt Hamilton Beach microwave named Amelia.
