Experiment #476: Metal Can of Aerosol Butter
(Rated PG) Microwaving an aerosol can is a recipe for disaster, it's especially true with something that has a high oil content, the fire being sparked by part of the metal can ended up being intense. It's a few weeks to go until Thanksgiving, but I just had to microwave a can of spray butter. It's basically a cheap store brand imitation of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. More like "I Can't Believe It's Not Bug Spray", amirite? Well it certainly caught fire like a can of bug spray would. This was one of my best aerosol can episodes, you couldn't see but there was fire pouring out of the vents and it burnt a hole in the door and melted the top of the microwave. I had to stop early because it's in the garage. I should have done this outside where I could have let it burn and burn (but then people would complain that it's so hard to see inside before it ignited, you can't win since people just love to complain). If you were hankering for a good old-fashioned fire show like you used to see back in the day from my microwaving experiments, you will be thankful for this awesome Thanksgiving special. It's a lot like the Thanksgiving special I did three years ago, except far more appropriate for the holiday given the contents of the can). If you're wondering why my dad was there, it's because we were all watching a football game. Penn State obliterated Iowa 41-14 to improve to 7-2 (5-1). Perhaps I should have microwaved a football? It may not have turned out as cool as this. Microwave Me is currently in its 17th season of production and is now the second longest continually running microwave show on YouTube, while being filmed in crystal clear 1080p for the best quality and as always stars Captain Microwave stars as the show's host and producer, who for this episode uses a 1976 Litton microwave.
