Lake Isabelle is a beautiful alpine lake nestled in the heart of Indian Peaks Wilderness, Colorado. During winter season one has to hike additional 3 miles each way along the access road to reach the summer trailhead, making the total distance close to 11 miles. The advantage is that one will likely enjoy the lake in total solitude, which was what happened to us on this occasion on 1/3/2024
