The first stop of our 2-week road trip across Utah and Arizona during the 2025 holiday season was Arches National Park, where we hiked the famous Devils Garden Loop. It’s rated as the top 1 or 2 hikes in this park right up there with Fiery Furnace, which we enjoyed very much. We had hiked to Landscape Arch many years ago, but this time we decided to do the whole Primitive Trail loop. We hiked this fantastic loop clockwise, hitting Landscape Arch first which is the longest arch in North America at 306 ft. All in all we saw 8 arches plus a monolith rock formation called Dark Angel. The views were amazing, and the scrambling was super fun as well. Total stats: 8.9 miles with 1200’ elevation gain
