A casual stroll in the Castlewood Canyon State Park on a Saturday afternoon in November. This used be the site of Castlewood Dam that bursted in Aug 1933 after two days of torrential rain and the flood water inundated City of Denver 33 miles to the north. Part of the dam still remains today in this unique state park which has a well maintained trail system that can be hiked year round. Total stats: 6.3 miles with 700’ elevation gain
