Kaja Kallas: Russia Wants to Scare Europe — But Putin Will Not Succeed @EUdebatesLIVE

EU High Representative Kaja Kallas said Russia is trying to scare Europe away from supporting Ukraine — but warned that Moscow will not succeed.

Speaking after the Informal Meeting of EU Defence Ministers in Druids Glen, County Wicklow, Ireland, Kallas said ministers discussed how to increase support for Ukraine and invest more in Europe’s own defence.

She said this is the best way to stop Vladimir Putin.

Kallas also announced that the EU is planning its most far-reaching sanctions against Russia yet, as Europe prepares to increase pressure on Moscow while continuing to support Ukraine militarily, politically and financially.

Her warning was direct: Russia wants fear. Europe must answer with strength, unity, sanctions and more support for Ukraine.
