This was recorded probably about a week or two after the First Impressions, when I'd put some hours into the game already.
I'm back in the post-apocalyptic countrysides of Oregon with Deacon St. John, roaming every-man, bounty hunter, and supposed biker. Having obtained some better weapons from the local camps, we head out to a NERO Checkpoint that's currently being occupied by Ripper cultists. With the help of some Freakers, we take them out and grab the handy permanent-upgrade syringe that every NERO facility conveniently still has inside. Back at our temporary watchtower base, Deacon checks in on Boozer, who's still struggling with the growing sepsis in his heavily burned arm and getting moody and unstable. This jogs Deacon's memory, and we flash back to Deacon and his botanist wife Sarah collecting Lavender. Then, we head over to local nutjub libertarian truther/prepper Copeland's camp, and he tells us about another Ripper camp that has cropped up nearby. On the way, we stop at a Nero Checkpoint where they had attempted to dispose of all the bodies of the dead and infected, before being overrun and becoming a local buffet for a Freaker horde that hangs out on it. Then it's a simple matter of grabbing some Lavender, wiping out some more skinhead psychos, and trying to give Boozer the Lavender salve.
