On the first bonus episode of Let's Play Fatal Frame: Maiden Of Black Water, Ayane of the Mugen Tenshin shinobi clan is tasked with tracking down a missing teenage girl named Tsumugi. Her trail leads us to Mt. Hikami, where a bracelet that Ayane had given her previously connects to our own through a magical purple thread. Following this thread, we end up running into the mountain's hostile ghosts, who are unaffected by Ayane's blade. Barely escaping with her life, she's forced to get forbidden magical sigils painted onto her skin in order to see the ghosts. The mysterious old woman that paints them on also gives us a Spirit Stone Flashlight to fend off the ghosts. Unlike a Camera Obscura, the flashlight can't banish ghosts, but instead stuns them for long enough to run away. Yep, it's a STEALTH section of the game that lasts for all of Ayane's chapters. We sneak past a whole bunch of patrolling ghosts and end up at the Shrine of the Ephemeral, where we arrive just in time to stop Tsumugi from being swallowed up by the water maiden. Then we escape the shrine with her, and that's it.

Moments later, a massive ship warps in next to her and demons start teleporting onto her ship from it. Unfortunately for them, shes got a high power, rapid fire laser pistol and a pair of laser claws that carve up demons pretty nicely. With nowhere else to go, Aemi hops over to the demon ship to see what theyve got going on.
