I had planned just a Hot Dog dinner with beans, slaw, and corn on the cob. Being July 4th, I thought it not right not to have some ribs, so I had a lonely rack of babybacks I through on the Barrel House Cooker 14D. I had also planned to use my new grill grates and do the dogs on them using the weber kettle. WRONG !! After about 2 hours and 45 minutes into this plan, we got hit in Florence,SC with a huge ongoing Thunderstorm. The rain came and went about 3 or 4 times just as hard the next time as the previous time. I didn't get to fire up the kettle and do the dogs, so we just cooked the hot dogs inside on the gas cooktop using a cast iron griddle. They turned out just perfect anyway. The baby back ribs also turned out delicious. Everyone got plenty to eat.
