I wanna live 'Off Grid'! Before I die, I feel a need to test myself and see if that is something I can really do. Probably not on an island, but on a heavily wooded lot somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
When I came to Florida in December of 2000, it was a wonderful break from the bustle of Brooklyn, NY. But as expansion spreads everywhere, Tampa over the past two decades started to get crowded and traffic'y reminiscent of where I grew up. Now I think it's time to step back again. This time, REAL far.
I think living in the woods is something I can not only achieve, but something I could excel at and enjoy. I know it can be a freedom that few people ever get to experience.
The search has begun for my own hunk of nature. Something unspoiled. A blank canvas that I can shape into a home amongst the trees. Will it ever happen? It's hard to know. Will I crack and turn into a crazy hermit that is unfit to mix in today's modern society? I feel some days that I'm already halfway down that path. Either way, it's a fun dream that I felt was fit to share on this channel.
