Finally! We made it out of Florida. The first anchorage we find in Georgia was not nearly as nice as the one we left behind. The new spot was tight and shallow and windy. There was also no place to walk the dogs. To dinghy them all the way down to the State Park dock with lightning all around did not seem like a viable option. We could've dropped anchor with all the other boaters we saw over there, but the winds were making some big waves for them without the sandy shoals that had me worried. If only the blow was out of the east, the anchor spot would've been lovely. As luck would have it, ever since we arrived on the east coast back in Stuart, the wind seems to be our enemy. But next up, we do get a welcome reprieve from it and the storms only to then run into some new challenges. A sick dog and an anchor that finally lives up to my fears.
