Cruising has many side effects. One of which is meeting new friends. It's a constant ingredient, as unavoidable as weather and navigation and fuel and maintenance. In this video Mike and I are introduced to Chris and Fawn, who we would meet again later in the journey. The cruiser Chris from Down-Under I will likely never see again but not due to any choice. He was an amazing dude, traveling single-handed and not only in unknown waters, but in a totally different country! Sam, Tina and Willy were super cool and the duck eggs were delicious! I wish I had recorded Sam's rendition of a Cat Steven's song he played for me. He's a very talented guy. Sam has played for a living before and one of his strengths would be to play tunes that reflected random people's situations. He said it was a great hit when he did it for people at his gigs. For me, his performance of 'On the Road to Find Out' really spoke to me. I think about it often. Now that song reminds me of all the nice folks I met along my travels.
