It's funny how sometimes doing even a small thing like landing the fish you have on can seem like an impossible chore. But that's how life is. I've been the guy that is in the groove somedays. And then, I have been out fished by five year olds while fishing shrimp off a dock. Today though, there were a few things that went beyond luck. Things I have the power to improve. I made mistakes that I once knew better and have since forgotten. I'll leave it to you to decide what I could have done better. What gear I might've benefitted from bringing. In the meantime, I have already made some improvements to my kayak that may help me next time I venture out. They might not help me land a fish, but...well...you'll just have to wait and see.
