KULT News visited Prescott Valley, AZ on Dec. 5, 2024, and found some local businesses to be a wee bit paranoid about a man taking photos in public. Of course, the cops were called and we were confronted.
Would the local police be professional and educated or would they make fools of themselves as so many have before them?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
