About this video: This is our complete guide on how to make a CurseForge server in Minecraft 26.2. We build a custom mod set in CurseForge using Fabric and then make a Fabric server to run it, so you and your friends can play your exact mod list together. Let's get started!
First things first, we will make our custom modpack in CurseForge using Fabric. If you need CurseForge, there is a link to our guide on getting it above. Once you are in CurseForge, click on "Minecraft", and then click "Create" on the "My Modpacks" tab. Name your profile, select Minecraft 26.2, and choose the Fabric mod loader.
From there, click on your new profile and use the "+ Add Content" button to find and "Install" the Fabric mods you want for 26.2. The great thing about building a custom modpack this way is that it makes it easy to share with your friends. You can right-click the profile on the "My Modpacks" tab and select "Share" to send it as a zip. Your friends can then import it into CurseForge and use it to join your server.
Next, we need to set up the Fabric server. On that page, click "Download" and then download the installer for Windows. Make a "CurseForge Server 26.2" folder on your desktop, then open the Fabric Installer. Click on "Server", and click the three dots next to "Launcher Location" to navigate to and select the folder you made. Click "Install", then click "Download Server Jar" and "Generate". Finally, click "Done".
Now, go to your server folder and double-click the "start.bat" file. The server will try to start but fail. You will now have an eula.txt file. Open it, change eula=false to eula=true, and save the file. Double-click "start.bat" again, and your CurseForge 26.2 server will start up.
With the server running, we can add our mods to it. Go back to CurseForge, right-click your custom 26.2 modpack, and select "Open Folder". Open the "mods" folder, and copy the mods inside it. Then, paste those mods into the "mods" folder in your server folder.
At this point, you can play Minecraft using your modpack and join the server with the IP address "localhost". This is a great way to test that everything works. For your friends to join, you will need to port forward. There is a complete guide on how to port forward a Minecraft server linked in the description above, but the quick version is that you forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocol. Your friends can then join your CurseForge server using your public IP.
With that, you now know how to make a CurseForge server in Minecraft 26.2. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out. Otherwise, if we did help you out, be sure to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thanks in advance!
