The Narrows bottom-up route starts at Temple of Sinawava and follows the Virgin River through slot canyon walls to highlights like Mystery Falls, Orderville Canyon, and Wall Street. No permit required. Most of the hike is wading through ankle to knee-deep water over slippery rocks, trekking poles help. Flow rates (measured in CFS) change daily and affect difficulty. Plan around crowds, check current conditions, and rent or bring water-appropriate footwear. This route is accessible to most visitors but requires real attention to footing and flow.
