Strawberry Peak is a 7.5 mile out-and-back hike with 1,800 feet of elevation gain in Angeles National Forest. The trail climbs through chaparral and granite outcrops to a summit with views across the San Gabriel Mountains. Expect exposed sections with little shade, making this best in cooler months. No permit required. The trail is moderate with some rocky scrambling near the top. I wrote this guide with your safety and experience as the priority, covering directions, pacing, and what to expect on the route.
