About this video: This video is our complete guide on making a Minecraft server with plugins in 26.1.2. We are going to do this using Paper, as that is the software that allows you to add plugins to Minecraft servers. There is a link to get Paper for 26.1.2 above.
That will take you to our text guide where you click download to go to the official download page. You may need to select experimental builds depending on how long paper has been out. Then, download the 26.1.2 version.
Make a “Minecraft Server with Plugins” folder on your desktop. Then, move the paper.jar file you downloaded into it. Rename this file to just “paper.jar”. Then, create a new text document and open it. Copy the code above depending on how much RAM want your server to have, and paste it into your text document.
Save the text document as “run.bat” with the “Save Type As” set to “All Files”. Double-click the run.bat, and your server will try to run generating some files, but it will fail. You should now have an eula.txt file.
On that files and setup the line “eula=false” to “eula=true”. Save it, and now double-click the run.bat file again. Your server will start.
To add plugins to your Minecraft server in 26.1.2, you will need to download some. There is a link above to some of the best. From there, restart your server and your plugins will be active.
You can now join your server with the IP address “localhost”. For your friends to join, you will need to port foward. Our complete guide on that is linked above. They can then join with your public IP.
