I try to not over feed bees but at the same time those first few warm days of the year is when they usually need help the most, especially if you are stuck in a cycle of a week or two of warm weather then a cold spell hits (the last few weeks and next few weeks). As soon as the days start getting longer and warmer, the queen starts rearing brood and food can become critically low during warm periods followed by cold cycles. I keep an eye on hive weight and feed bee fondant on low hives. This is how I make it and this video was requested by a local beekeeper (I thought I already had a bee fondant video but maybe not)
