Observation Point from the East Mesa Trail is an 8-mile out-and-back hike with minimal elevation gain, offering canyon views comparable to the Grand Canyon rim. The trail starts on the east side of Zion, away from shuttle crowds, and winds through pine and fir forest before reaching the overlook. Parking at the trailhead is limited and fills early, but a shuttle bus option from the main park can help. This approach is far easier than the closed Observation Point Trail from Weeping Rock, making it accessible for most hikers looking for big views without steep climbing.
