Garmin Trails launched as part of Connect Plus and Maps Plus subscriptions, offering trail names, basic stats, and filtering, but no reviews or user content yet. The feature feels like a data dump waiting for users to fill in the gaps. I tested it on web and mobile, found bugs and confusing access restrictions, and the custom routing tool is clunky. Trails can be sent directly to your device, but the value isn't there for longtime Garmin users, especially at the subscription price point. If you're already paying for AllTrails or using free tools, this doesn't add much.
