In Heads and Tails, Prewitt orders a pinata repairing robot that instantly proves faulty, much to the mole's ignorance. And when it sews Hudson's head to Fergy's body, things get worse for everyone. This is another one that makes absolutely no sense to me. First of all, Prewitt sees that the robot isn't working properly right off the bat and completely ignores it. Until later, when he's suddenly aware it's not working and tries to fix it. I'm sorry, what happened between this and five minutes ago? Second, due to Fergy trying to avoid Langston, he hides on the repair bench, where his head is ripped off and the returning from a party head of Hudson is attached to his body instead. Much to the absolute horror of everyone on the island. Ok, it is funny watching this mismatch walking around, Hudson's head balancing on Fergy's skinny little legs, but seriously? This has never happened before? We've been shown over and over again just how fragile pinatas are and how hit or miss the repair process is, and yet everyone is instantly prepared to write Hudson off as a monster? Heck, it's not even a permanent thing. Hudson is told to come back tomorrow when Prewitt has found his body, yet he wallows in misery like this is the end of everything. And then he's captured by a freakshow, who want to display him and Fergy's head! Because, yeah, this island full of constantly pummeled pinatas has never seen a living decapitated head before! But that's not even given enough time to go anywhere, because Hudson's body shows up, gets him out, tears his head from Fergy's body, puts everyone back together, and everyone leaves. Da end. It feels like they had a good idea on paper, but didn't know or didn't have the time to make it work onscreen, thus the script feels just as much of a mismatch as Hudgy here. It's not funny, makes no sense, and can be skipped. Though at least we learn Hudson can be a great baker if he puts his body to it.
