...Thought I'd put my firstone to the test today & get a hand drill set together with it.
.
...The main working features of these stones are the bearing block divot, the serrated edge, the shaft sizer/straightner & the rounded chisel. The chisel edge was an idea I had after & was originally intended for light cutting & scraping but I wanted to push it a bit & see how it fared up to some light batoning.
.
.. I wouldn't really condone such use for the stones in this way but thought I should test it just to see how it stood up to the job. As you see it's still in one piece so in if you had to it will survive some light batoning.
