...Been struggling with the bamboo strike a light recently. I was blaming the bamboo for not being sparky enough but the actual problem was the tinder.
.
...I'd been using a different brand of tissue & try as I might it just wouldn't fire up. I only had the one piece of bamboo so I couldn't cross check it against another piece so I switched back to my original brand & made another batch of char.
.
...I checked it with some broken plate first & it worked fine so I thought I'd try with the firestone. It was a little tricky to get the placement right but with a couple of tweeks I got it.
