...One of the things that can commonly let down with firelighting is a damp tinder bundle especially in cold damp conditions.

...A simple little hack that can make all the difference is to prepare your tinder bundle in advance then place it against your body under your clothes. By the time you've prepared your kindling. made uour set & produced an ember your body heat should of helped drive out any residual moisture & hopefully make it easier to blow it to flame.
