Ham & Greens Pasta
(For a 12” Camp Oven)
Ingredients:
8 oz. dried pasta (bowtie or penne)
4 oz. cooked ham, diced
1 tsp. blackened seasoning
¼ cup reserved pasta water
8 oz. torn swiss chard (or other greens)
4 cloves garlic, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
Directions:
1. Cook pasta per package instructions in a 12” camp oven. Drain, set aside in a bowl and save ¼ cup of the pasta water. Wipe out and dry the inside of the camp oven.
2. Place 12 briquettes, in a tight ring, under camp oven. When heated add ham to brown for 2-3 minutes. Add butter, garlic and seasoning. Cook with continuous stirring for 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, greens and cheese. Cook and stir, mixing until heated through and greens wilt.
ENJOY!!!
