A multi-day stretch of significant severe weather is expected to begin tonight across the southern Plains, where the SPC has upgraded to an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5). An MCS is expected to rapidly develop from Kansas to Texas late tonight, posing a risk for embedded tornadoes and damaging winds. The line will continue into the Mid-South and Southeast tomorrow, continuing the significant severe threat across another SPC Enhanced Risk area. The greatest threat for tornadoes, perhaps some strong, will be across central/southern Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and southern Alabama, where models are hinting at slightly higher, albeit conditional, potential for more discrete supercells. The threat continues into the Eastern Seaboard Wednesday, where all hazards may be possible.
