A tornado outbreak may be on tap today across the central and southern Plains. SPC has outlined a Moderate Risk (level 4/5) across southwest Kansas and northwest Oklahoma, surrounded by a large Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) from western Nebraska down into Texas. Several discrete supercells are expected to develop this afternoon across this corridor, posing a risk for all severe hazards, including intense/long-track tornadoes and giant hail.
