๐๐น๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฒ๐ฒย was an international cargo flight fromย Singapore to Hong Kong with a stopover inย Kuala Lumpur. The flight was operated by a Boeing 747-200F (Reg. N807FT) on ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ญ๐ต, ๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ต.
Approaching Kuala Lumpur, the crew were cleared to route direct to the Kayell (KL) beacon for a runway 33 approach. While on the NDB approach, the crew were cleared to "...descend two four zero zero..." which was interpreted by the crew as "...to 400...".
The plane descended below minimum altitude and crashed into a hillside at 600 feet/180 m msl just before reaching the Kayell NDB, where minimum descent height was 2,400 feet. The plane hit treetops and started to break up until bursting into flames.

On ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐ญ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฑ, an Alia Royal Jordanian Airlines Handley Page Herald (Reg. JY-ACQ) was operating a non-scheduled international passenger flight from Beirut to Amman, carrying 50 passengers and 4 crew members.
The plane departed Beirut at 19:55 GMT and was cleared to climb to and maintain FL135 according to the flight plan submitted. At 20:14 the plane reported to Damascus Centre over Dakweh at FL120 climbing to FL135 and estimating Damascus beacon at 20:19. The plane having not reported over that beacon by 20:20, the Damascus Centre controller initiated a series of calls which were not answered by the plane.
At 20:35, a telephone call indicated that a plane flying west to east was seen on fire and had crashed half-way between the Syrian border and Damascus. It was subsequently found that this was the subject plane, and that it had crashed at approximately 20:16 on a 45ยฐ slope of a mountain at a height of 4,200 feet AMSL on a heading of 340ยฐ.
