On 5/24/24 officers with Florida Fish & Wildlife conservation commission were patrolling in lake county FL. Officers observed a vessel being operated at a high rate of speed in a careless manner and getting very close to other boats including children in the water. The subject was located at his fathers house where the boat was parked. Officers noticed he was unstable on his feet and they could smell a strong odor of alcohol from his person. Officers attempted to conduct seated field sobriety tasks but the subject was uncooperative and would not comply. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Lake County Jail and was booked.
Charges:
-Boating Under the Influence
-Refusal to submit blood/breath/urine
-Careless operation of vessel
-Interference or obstruction of a FWC officer
