...On my visit back to England I didn't get to try as many fire roll options as I intended but I did try this one that I was pretty sure would work.

...It's New Zealand flax, not a native but a common ornamental, & this was a dwarf varigated variety. The standard variety has leaves over two meters long & the fibres are amazingly strong & make fantastic cordage.

...As the fibres are so strong I thought I'd try rolling them without any accelerant & as you see it still fired up just fine.
