...A couple of years ago we planted a few cacao trees round the garden to see how they would do. Anyway one particular tree really flourished & is already bearing fruit.

...Anyway I needed to prune a couple of lower branches & as a small piece of bark stood up to my snap test I though I process them for cordage.

...With there only being a couple of branches I processed them by hand using a soup spoon to scrape the outer bark away & the other plant matter. I gave them five minutes to dry in the sun then twisted them up into a nice three ply cord that I'm sure will have no problem powering a bow drill.
