...It was great to catch up with family back in the UK especially my grand daughter who had been dying to get out with me to make a camp fire & toast Marshmallows.

...She loves to get involved & it was great to get her helping out with an idea I had about an assisted hand drill. Instead of using thumb loops or a mouth brace why not just get someone to bear down on the end of the spindle whilst you focus on the spinning.

...Worked a treat ! I've done quite a few tandem hand drills in the past, where the other person takes over the drilling as you begin to tire but I reckon this is a far more efficient way to save energy & get the job done with minimal effort.
