In this Palworld 1.0 tutorial, I show you how to unlock, build, and use the Item Retrieval Machine, one of the best late game storage quality-of-life machines for your base.
The Item Retrieval Machine gives you direct access to the inventories of every chest, storage box, and container inside your base. Instead of running around opening each container one at a time, you can use this machine to search your base storage from one place.
You can search for items by name or filter by item type, making it much easier to find crafting materials, food, Pal drops, ammo, spheres, ingots, rare items, and anything else you have stored across your base. If your base has a lot of containers, this machine can save a ridiculous amount of time.
To unlock the Item Retrieval Machine in Palworld 1.0, you need to reach level 49 and spend the required technology points in the Technology tab. Once it is unlocked, you can build it at your base and use it as a centralized storage access point.
The main downside is that the Item Retrieval Machine is very large, so you will need to plan ahead before placing it. Depending on how packed your base already is, you may need to clear space, build a dedicated storage room, or expand your base layout just to fit it comfortably.
