Last year I braved frigid temperatures and blowing snow to film one of the newer Lake County owned 2001-130s for their quarterly test. This one is located in Wickliffe at the City Hall/Police Station building and indirectly replaced a 2001-SRN on the same property in the summer of 2023. The tones you hear at the start of the video are for the nuclear sirens as I had my scanner on the wrong thing. Enjoy!
Lake County has a system of 50 sirens on the west end of the county which are tested at the same time as 76 sirens for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. These tests occur on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11 am during the months of January, April, July, and October.
