Went out with several other enthusiasts this past Saturday to hear some sirens. This siren is located in the small community of Grindstone and is used for volunteer fire calls. I apologize for the shaky footage, it was quite windy out and I had forgotten my tripods in my car (which was in the shop), so I had to borrow some spares from a friend.
For my first Model 2, it was decently loud, but not as loud as I had thought it would be. This siren was quiet enough that I was able to use the audio off my Panasonic without any significant distortion. This siren probably replaced an older siren, as this newer Model 2 is on a tower that is quite old. I believe this is a Model 2-120 (120 volts) as it is not quite as high pitched as the 240 volt units seem to be. Enjoy!
