Back in 2004 many gamers were excited for Fable to come out. This was developed by Lionhead Studios with Peter Molyneux at the steering wheel. A lot was promised and many of those promises did not make it into the final product. Because of that I remember being a bit let down when I played the game on the original Xbox.
But many decades have passed and the game is nowadays regarded as a classic. Thus I wanted to archive the anniversary edition and jumped back into the boots of a hero. This playthrough focuses on the good choices and I had a lot of fun overall. There is a lot to explore and see and the fact that you always have a "good" and "evil" solution for every quest feels awesome.
The combat and UI can feel a bit clunky and definitely show its age, but in the end it is a great experience. I have heard many people say that Fable 2 is the best in the series, so I cannot wait to add that game to the archives as well.
