Putting everything together, adjusting the friction / zero detent …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓
In the previous video we finished the side parts and the body (link below). So we’re finally able to put everything together and adjust the friction as well as force of the zero position detent. And of course we’ll test if everything is working.
First we insert the shafts into the side parts and attach the levers with the handles. Then we insert the plungers and springs. The PCB goes into the body and its cable is secured. Finally we attach the side parts to the body and adjust everything.
00:00 Intro – time to put things together
00:37 Shafts and magnets – with superglue
03:00 Shaft, side part, plunger and spring – with a grub screw
04:58 Lever and side assembly – with a C-clamp screw
07:43 Plunger, spring and side assembly – with a grub screw
09:29 Body and PCB – with a screw
10:57 Body, cable and strain relieve – with two screws
12:19 Body and side parts – with four screws
12:41 Impromptu jig – so you can actually operate the thing
13:28 Test – everything including the electronics is working
15:20 Wrap-up – next time we’re back to software, bye
