Making progress with the new analog frontend, but there’s still an issue …
↓↓↓ Complete description, time index and links below ↓↓↓
In the previous video we solved our noise, respectively, oscillation problems and got rid of the intermittent errors we experienced (link below). Now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
We first do some raw ADC and oversampled values noise measurements. Then we enter the gained calibration values into our code and run tests. The results are OK, but the current channel drifts when the voltage changes.
00:00 Intro – enjoying the fruits of our labor
00:46 Code 1 – raw ADC peak-to-peak & RMS noise
05:28 Measurements 1 – getting raw ADC noise
10:55 Raw ADC noise – current, voltage & temperature
14:13 Code 2 – calibration with 256x oversampling
16:36 Measurements 2 – getting calibration values
20:34 Calibration values – for A, V and °C
22:27 Mistakes happen – wrong wiring, °C redone
23:32 Code 3 – temperature class simplified
25:52 Test – quite good, but there’s still a problem
33:57 Wrap-up – one problem left to solve, bye
