Drilling 10 holes into a block-o-POM, one far too large for the mill …

Last time we milled a POM block square and to the principle dimensions. We also scribed markings for the following operations into it (link below). Now it’s time for the ten drilling operations … and things won’t go as planned.
We start out easy with four 3.3mm holes. A single 8mm in between hole gives us a hint of things to come. The next four 5mm holes go in effortless again. Finally we drill a 16mm hole in 10 steps, which initially went in like a dream, but …
