This quirky 4-8-4 diesel dinosaur is the latest loco by KR Models to hit the shops in the UK in the last couple of weeks. Watch and hear its 6 engines in action as it does its caterpillar march around Neville Grove.
Just as eccentric is "GT3" - the Gas Turbine loco by English Electric and another stunning model by KR Models who specialise in unusual, one off model locomotives.
GT3, with its jet age characteristics is made all the more unusual by its traditional 4-6-0 steam locomotive configuration. As such it required the use of turntables with its single cab situated between the locomotive and tender which holds 2000 gallons of fuel oil along with a vertical boiler.
The KR Models Fell was immediately sent to the Neville Grove weathering studio for weathering by my customer William Sinden. Its a cracking model that runs as smooth as sewing machine.
The GT3 is a well known @BlufferstoBuffers icon on their social media channels. Although sound fitted, the microphone on my camera just doesn't do the effects justice. It is however, exceptionally fun to drive!
