Forlorn looking 47012 is seen here drafted in for some additional summer holiday traffic sometime in the 1980’s.
BR blue adorned most mainline locos and was introduced from the mid 1960’s. It lasted for well over 30 years and therefore gave rise to plenty of unkempt and worn out looking machines across the network. This is great for modellers with plenty of scope for various weathered finishes and effects.
This model is the superb latest tooling by Bachmann and has recently been through the Neville Grove weathering treatment plant for a bespoke appearance as requested.
