This fight was a tough one for a first boss. Where generally the first boss has a very real weakness, I found none for this guy. If you play deprived (like I did) it makes it extra difficult. There's two phases to this fight. During the first phase you'll want to stay at a medium distance in order to get him to jump at you. When he does roll under him and attack from behind 1-2 times. Don't get greedy. He hits really hard. Repeat until the second phase. During this phase you'll stay a little farther back, but not too much. When he reaches forward with his hand you'll dodge to the left of him under his tail and hit him from behind a couple times. That's really all there is to the fight, but it's easy to get hit a lot during the second phase if you're not careful.
